Covid-19 Travel Policy Across Our Network

Covid-19 Vaccination Policy

Barrier Air prides itself with providing a premium, safe, and reliable service. Your safety has always been our number one priority.

To give you confidence when you travel, we are adding a new layer of assurance for our customers travelling across our network.

You will need to show your proof of vaccine, or a negative covid test during the check-in process to our team.

  • Proof you are fully vaccinated against Covid-19. Passengers can show proof from the New Zealand Government’s My Vaccine Pass and can be presented digitally or as a hard copy.
  • Or a negative Covid-19 test result, taken within 72 hours of your departing flight. This can be in the form of a text message that complies to the accepted form, or a letter from the Ministry of Health.

This requirement applies to all customers 12 years of age and over to provide either a negative test or proof of vaccine.

Note that the Barrier Air vaccination policy does not apply to children below the age of 12 years*
* There will be a grace period of 3 months to allow for children recently turned 12 years to get both vaccinations.

Medical Exemptions

If you have an approved medical exemption for the Covid-19 Vaccine we require a negative test to be taken within 72 hours of your departure time.

We also encourage the following procedures when traveling with Barrier Air
